Position Title: 4th/5th Grade Ministry Director

Position Summary

The 4th/5th Grade Ministry Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the 4th and 5th Grade Ministry at Rock Creek. This includes Sunday morning services, discipleship programs, special events, curriculum planning, camps, retreats, and guiding children as they transition into Rock Creek Students.

Primary Responsibilities

• Spiritual Leadership: Model a strong, personal relationship with Christ and a passion for investing in children and families.
• Volunteer Development: Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to serve in the 4th/5th Grade Ministry.
• Weekly Ministry Oversight: Plan and execute engaging, biblically sound programs for 4th and 5th graders each week.
• Child Engagement: Be a kid magnet—someone who naturally attracts and connects with children in a way that makes them feel welcomed, valued, and excited to learn.
• Teaching & Communication: Be a dynamic and engaging communicator who can effectively teach children in large group settings and lead smaller discipleship moments.
• Curriculum & Discipleship: Oversee the selection, preparation, and implementation of curriculum that aligns with Rock Creek’s beliefs and vision for children’s discipleship.
• Events & Camps: Plan and execute events, camps, and retreats that foster spiritual growth and community within the 4th and 5th Grade Ministry.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with Aubree Lund, the Children’s Ministry Director, and the Rock Creek Kids team to ensure alignment with the church’s overall vision and ministry goals.
• Student Ministry Transition Support: Actively participate in Sunday night student ministry to assist 6th graders in transitioning smoothly into middle school ministry.
